WECE helped students to get ready for the career fair with this workshop geared for ECE and CS students. WPI alumni Bill Lapp of Cisco Systems and Julie Barbeau of Analog Devices gave you targeted feedback to help students create a strong résumé, including some one-on-one consultations. Light refreshments were served.
This event was very successful. Students turned out in large numbers and gave strong positive feedback about these events.

Female professional EEs share their insights.
We held three soldering workshops in B-term with amazing success. Attendees included EE2799 students, first-year students, and graduate students. We had about 35 attendees in all.
Special thanks to EE2799 Professors Bitar and Vaz for sponsoring these workshops. Also thanks to Professors Duckworth and Looft for loaning us soldering irons.
March 13, 2003, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Atwater Kent 108
This event was our biggest ever. With standing-room only attendance, students, alumna, faculty friends and corporate sponsors enjoyed mingling over snacks before our presentation.
Barbara Broad, mother of the late Professor Denise Nicoletti, shared her daughter's vision for women in engineering. Even those who did not know Professor Nicoletti were deeply touched by Ms. Broad's inspiring words. We were honored to have Richard Nicoletti in attendance as well.
WECE's corporate sponsors Intel and GE said a few words about why they support our programs. Intel representatives Robert Richardson and Marissa Beres (WPI Alumna) spoke about WECE's importance to the community. GE representative Jennifer Wyse announced that GE would renew their financial support for another year.
About WECE, Professor Nicoletti, and the REC Room
WECE and the REC Room are the legacy of the late Professor Denise Nicoletti. Joining WPI in 1991, Professor Nicoletti had a huge impact on the women of the electrical and computer engineering department, and the Institute as a whole. WECE, the REC Room and Camp Reach are just a few of her many contributions to our community.
A welcoming and comfortable space open to everyone, the REC Room is exclusively sponsored by WECE. This room is prominently situated on the first floor of Atwater Kent (the electrical and computer engineering building), giving WECE a strong presence in the department. Students use the REC room for study, socializing, and creative endeavors. WECE uses the REC room to hold events and meetings, and as a venue in which to publicize ourselves.
